ANTI-VIRUS PROTECTION
I deal with a lot of virus removals everyday. You can use one of
those very expensive "anti-virus" softwares or you can use
something that WORKS.

I set up 10 computers with each one running a different program.
I logged onto the internet and went to sites I knew would send
me viruses. The computer that received the least amount of
attacks was running AVG FREE, from Grisoft. Read all the articles
you want in those "magazines" but the fact is I deal with this
everyday. The only software that works is AVG. Case in point:

A Customer brought in a computer running A Popular expensive
program. The customer can not access the internet and the
system is running SO SLOW it is painful. I remove their "anti-virus"
software, and the system immediately came back to a normal
speed and the internet is now available. Then I install AVG, GUESS
WHAT I FOUND - 8 that is right count them EIGHT viruses.

The choice is yours.
Spyware and Adware Removal Tools
Spyware is different then Viruses, so you need a tool to help
with removal of this stuff also. What I have founf to work the
best is SPYBOT Search and Destroy.

For Adware, I recommend using AD-AWARE SE
